Just a little teaser for those of you on the fence about joining us at the next technique class on the 9th of Sept. This is called cracked glass and gives a great antiqued/distressed finish to your images, backgrounds, etc. This is just one of the great techniques we will learn and have fun with. Hope you will be able to join us!

WOOHOO - Christmas Swaps are in the mail!

Well, I am participating in my 2nd swap and they are going in the mail today! A swap for those of you who don't know can most easily be described like a cookie exchange! You make so many of your card design and mail them into the "host" and they give you back one of each card made from each of the group participants and so for 1 card you get lots and lots of samples and ideas. This one is a Christmas card swap - 1 regular size card and 1 mini (3x3) size. Here is a pic of my 3x3 card which I think turned out pretty well - I used lots of the new stuff: New Basic Gray Paper, New Purely Pomagranite In Color Paper, New Ribbons including the white taffeta and Sherbet Ribbon Originals and the new Hostess Set Party Punch as well as a new set called Short and Sweet which may very well be one of the best purchases I have ever made - I just LOVE that set. BTW, 15% off this set for anyone who reads this and wants to order it before the end of September!

TECHNIQUE Class Announced!

Please join us to make 5 great technique cards on Sunday, Sept. 9th at 3:00! We will make 5 great cards using special techniques, sketches and supplies that you wouldn't even guess are stamping supplies! ;) It will be lots of fun - if you are interested in more information, please contact me via a comment or email!

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Gotta love the "bug"!

Got my new cuttlebug machine out the last couple of days to make some challenge cards and boy is it ever easy to use and worked out perfectly for the challenges - gotta love that. I actually only purchased some embossing folders for it so far and have only used the floral one for these cards. Take a look and let me know what you think.

For the first one - the challenge was to follow a limited supplies list:

For the second one - we were to be inspired by a picture of a lovely chocolate and pink floral comforter sold at Target - a picture can be found at the splitcoast challenge thread - check it out. I really love how this card turned out and I also was able to use some of my yummy velvet ribbon from the Sherbet Ribbon Originals packet.
